Move Out Cleaning Checklist to Get Your Deposit Back
TLDR: Landlords check inside appliances, behind toilets, and light fixtures. Clean everything you can see plus everything you cannot. Take photos before you leave. Start early because move out cleaning takes longer than you think.
Moving is stressful enough without worrying about losing your security deposit. But here is the truth: most deposit deductions come from cleaning issues, not damage. A thorough move out clean can be the difference between getting your full deposit back and losing hundreds of dollars.
I have done dozens of move out cleans in Tiffin and Bucyrus. I know what landlords and property managers look for. Here is a complete checklist to help you leave your rental spotless.

When to Hire Help
Move out cleaning is time consuming. If you are already juggling packing, moving logistics, and maybe starting a new job, the cleaning can feel overwhelming.
A professional move out clean typically costs $250 to $500 depending on size and condition. Compare that to what you might lose from your deposit. For many people, it is worth hiring help to make sure the job is done right.
I offer move out cleaning throughout Tiffin, Bucyrus, and surrounding areas. I know what landlords expect and I make sure nothing gets missed.
